Author Talk and Book Signing with Keith Comstock

 

 

The San Mateo County Community Colleges Alumni Association presents an evening with Keith Comstock, retired MLB pitcher, coach, and Cañada College alumnus. Friday, January 10, 2020, 5-8pm, Cañada College Theater, 4200 Farm Hill Blvd, Redwood City, CA. Comstock and his co-author Mike Murphey will promote their new novel, “The Conman.” Keith will take questions from the audience about the majors, the minors, and how he pulled off one of the greatest stunts in baseball card history. Comstock managed to create what is widely considered the funniest baseball card ever made. All in an era before Photoshop or other digital photo alteration software was widely available. The card remains popular among baseball fans and collectors. The event is open to the public and attendance is free. A $20 suggested donation includes a signed copy of the book and VIP reception. Advance registration is required. All money raised from book sales will benefit Cañada College athletics.alumni@smccd.edu.
